The atmosphere, restored. That's our vision, and we're aiming big.
Our technology can decarbonise the global lime industry, and our carbon-removal solutions will be able to take billions of tonnes of CO2 from the air.
And we're not all talk; our pilot plant is nearing completion and we have a host of commercial already opportunities in front of us.
We're fast-paced, ever changing, ambitious and energetic, and we're looking for similarly minded people to join us, contribute to our growth, and be part of our journey.
There's an opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team, and help us engineer and develop new and better zero carbon kilns for the lime sector. You'll help us to grow the mechanical function internally, whilst working collaboratively with other departments, customers, and our supplier base to ensure all mechanical requirements are captured correctly during development.
What you'll be doing
Reporting into the Head of Engineering, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will act as the Intelligent Customer for Origen Design Authority, managing mechanical design for the delivery of new calciners. You'll also support our R&D team to deliver equipment to support technology roadmap, helping us stay head of the curve.
You'll interrogate CAD to ensure we meet all functional requirements during the front end development stage, and apply your experience of document and configuration control.
Applying a 'systems engineering' approach, you'll work cross functionally with all departments to ensure integration is seamless and prioritised from the outset.
As we approach the build and commissioning stage, you'll ensure the team maintains a mechanical presence on site throughout, capturing all progress and data, reaching our milestones, and delivering on all objectives.
A little about you
You probably have a degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar), and ideally you'll be Chartered or working towards this.
You'll have experience managing cross functional teams to deliver the mechanical system within large engineered projects - if you have specific experience in the lime or cement sector, that would be ideal!
We're a collaborative, enthusiastic team and we're looking for people who genuinely believe in what we're doing.
